We, the humankind, are on the doorstep of annihilation unless we make fundamental changes in our lifestyles, and production and consumption systems as a whole.
Medical masks entered into our lives with Covid-19 pandemic and could not even be found in the market initially. However, the system turned medical masks as well into an object of consumption by time. And now it has also become an accessory we’re using in our daily lives. They have so far been produced millions and millions with a great many of colours and designs.
I am living on an island, and as a symbol of utopia, the concept of island took me to mythological stories.
Thetis was forced to marry Peleus she didn’t love, and in her wedding, Eris, the goddess of discord, who has not been invited thereto threw a golden apple into the midst of the goddesses that was to be awarded only “to the fairest”, thereby leading to the Troy war.
