When I was
a child, my mom has forbidden me to use her sewing machine. But I learned to
use the sewing machine by sewing papers beyond her knowledge, and by time,
learned tailoring by sewing dresses for my baby dolls. After many years, I
started to use sewing in some of my works of art. Now, I am writing by sewing
the pages I produce by using tea bags, a material I have stuck upon since some
time. My tree of books is a product of such works. I think this book project
will continue for a long time, but maybe in many different forms.
Material: Used
tea bags are combined to produce pages. Then, various asemic writings are
written thereon by sewing. Cardboard cylinder tubes are used as tree trunk, and
plastic pipes are used to fix the tree trunk. Plastic pipes are glued on 30x20
cm MDF plate. Chinese chopsticks are used as tree branches. Base is prepared by
gluing tea bags and strings on MDF plate.
